I am truly a sight to behold. In addition to my natural and usual gazelle like gracefulness (please note the heavy sarcasm in that statement) AND the clumsiness associated with being eight months pregnant AND a painful sciatic nerve issue I also have developed a problem with my left calf muscle brought on by a middle of the night charlie horse that has not gone away.
I waddle, limp and gimp.
My fingers are like mini sausage links. I spoke with my OB about my digits this morning at my now weekly appointment and his suggestion was to not use my hands as much during the day. To which I replied : "yeah, that's not going to happen."
Can you imagine me saying to Jack "Sorry, son, I'd really like to help you, change your diaper, get you juice or play with you but, I can't. I can't use my hands because of your baby sister." That would go over really well and set up a great beginning for a lifetime of sibling rivalry.
This baby could arrive in as little as five weeks from now. It feels like instantly and eternity at the same time. We're a wee bit closer to being ready but no where near where I would feel the most comfortable. Jeff is taking vacation from work all next week and he has a mightily loaded "honey do" list. It's just a matter of getting him to share my views of priority.
Honey Do List Item #1 -- find a name for this baby!
