Jack has said some polite and funny things today:

  • On the way to Frederick this morning he asked "How is your eye, Mommy?" He's very thoughtful.
  • On the way home from Frederick this afternoon he said "Mommy, I love you but, sometimes I don't." I pressed him a bit on this statement but he couldn't tell me a time when he didn't love me.
  • In the bathroom "Mommy, stop trying to trick me!" I swear I wasn't trying to pull anything over on him.
Jack had his first day of pre-school yesterday. He was fine; I cried. Well, he did fuss a bit when we dropped him off. His teacher, Mrs. Robinson, pulled him into the classroom as Jeff was pushing me out of the building thus ripping the band-aid off in one swift movement. It hurt. I said to Jeff as I tried to keep the tears in their place "my baby is at school!" I then walked around campus for an hour with my stomach in knots worrying. Is he ok, is he fussing, is he getting along, is he listening, is he using the potty. He came running out to meet us and said he had a good time.

He was excited about going this morning and when it was time for him to go he gave me a kiss and said "bye, Mom!"
